RULES WITH A PURPOSE

Understand the system.
Then decide.

An EA can check conditions, place or manage trades and follow defined rules. The value starts with knowing what those rules are and when the approach may struggle.

  • Strategy logic and intended market conditions
  • Entry, exit and position-management rules
  • Exposure settings and ongoing monitoring requirements
THE AUTOMATION LOOP
01Observe market conditions
02Evaluate the strategy rules
03Check defined risk limits
04Execute the programmed action
05Record and review behaviour

Test assumptions.
Observe behaviour.

Historical simulations and forward testing answer different questions. Both need clear records of the settings, data and execution environment.

How to read performance
  • Identify the test period and data source
  • Review costs, drawdown and sensitivity to settings
  • Distinguish demo, simulated and live results
  • Look for behaviour outside the development sample

No verified live track record is presented on this website.

Make the setup
part of the process.

When considering a system, confirm platform compatibility, symbols, account requirements and the conditions needed to keep it operating.

Read the setup checklist
  • Confirm the required MetaTrader version
  • Understand every input you intend to change
  • Test in a demo environment first
  • Plan connection and monitoring arrangements
  • Check provider restrictions before deploying
THE M15 EA PROGRAMME

Systems in
forward testing.

Two standalone MetaTrader 5 systems for Gold. These EAs can place and manage trades; they are separate from the website’s completed-H4 signal grid and its 0.5R / 1R / 1.5R reference levels.

Specifications below describe source defaults checked on 19 October 2026. Forward-test settings may differ. Testing is ongoing; licences are not yet available.

Session clock
Broker server time, read directly from the terminal. This build has no configurable clock offset or automatic daylight-saving conversion. Check the broker’s seasonal clock before applying these windows.
London Open breakout
08:00–12:00 server time, using the 00:00–06:00 range.
New York / Macro breakout
12:00–18:00, using the 00:00–07:00 range when its width is no more than 6.0× ATR.
Morning Compression Squeeze
09:00–18:00, using the 00:00–09:00 range when its width is no more than 4.0× ATR.
Trend and volatility checks
EMA 50 / 200 / 800 calculated on M15, covering short, medium and longer lookbacks. ATR(14) is compared with its 100-bar average.
Stops and targets
Initial stop distance: 2.5× ATR. London and compression engines request 2.5R targets; the New York engine requests 3.0R.
Rollover management
From 21:30 server time, the EA attempts to move the stop to +0.15R when floating gain is at least +0.75R. This is a stop-modification rule, not a confirmed exit price.
Exposure controls
One position at a time and a default maximum of two entries per day. Daily and overall drawdown guards apply. Risk is halved when the decline from the equity peak reaches 4% of the initial account size.

Session clock
Broker server time with a configurable whole-hour offset. The code does not apply a daylight-saving calendar automatically; review the offset when the broker clock changes.
Three session-breakout engines
London: 08:00–12:00 from the 00:00–06:00 range. New York: 12:00–18:00 from the 00:00–07:00 range, no wider than 6.0× ATR. Compression: 09:00–18:00 from the 00:00–09:00 range, no wider than 4.0× ATR.
London-Lunch Micro-Box
13:00–18:00 breakout window, using the 11:00–13:00 box when its width is no more than 3.5× ATR.
EMA(20) trend pullback
08:00–17:00. When a 00:00–06:00 range is available and price has not broken its relevant high or low, the engine requires at least 1.2× ATR clearance from that boundary. This check does not block the engine when that range is unavailable.
Trend and volatility checks
M15 EMA 50 / 200 / 800 alignment and ATR(14) compared with its 100-bar average.
Stops, targets and exits
Initial stops at 1.8× ATR and requested targets at 2.0R. From 21:30, the rollover rule attempts a stop move to +0.15R when gain is at least +0.75R. A Friday 21:30 rule requests closing positions before the weekend.
Position sizing
One position at a time and a default maximum of three entries per day. OnTradeTransaction synchronises the baseline for balance, credit and bonus changes, including deposits and withdrawals. Position size is capped against 75% of available free margin using the broker’s calculated margin requirement; the rule is not specific to 1:20 leverage.

BEFORE YOU CHOOSE

The questions
worth asking.

Clarity on strategy, requirements and licence terms belongs ahead of any purchase.

01 / STRATEGY

What does it actually do?

Ask about entries, exits, market conditions, exposure controls and known limitations.

02 / EVIDENCE

What supports the claims?

Understand which results are simulated or observed, over what period and under which conditions.

03 / DELIVERY

What am I getting?

Confirm availability, platform requirements, licence scope, price and the support included.

EA QUESTIONS

Automation.
With context.

Is an EA a hands-off income product?
No. An EA follows programmed rules, can lose money and requires oversight. Automation does not remove market, execution or operational risk.
Are all brokers and instruments supported?
Compatibility is product-specific. Confirm the required platform, broker symbols, account conditions and any restrictions before selecting or deploying an EA.
Where can I see prices and products?
The systems above remain in forward testing. Prices, confirmed release settings and licence terms will be published before orders open. EA licences are separate from Obsidian membership.
Do I need to share my account password?
Do not post passwords, account credentials or sensitive account details in the community or your development brief.
